need help , laptop infected by viruses and malware

I need help, my laptop has been badly infected by viruses and malware. And avg 2013 will not delete not detect them.


I need help fast, otherwise I may be forced to cancel project D-Resonate.

Ok, your panic indicates that it's already doing damage so you will probably want the scalpel and nuke technique. The first thing you should do is have everything important like your projects thrown into some form of backup (preferably multiple) while watching for odd filenames. Second, you reinstall the OS and programs, get some good anti-virus and never again poke your cyberdick into shady files.

This may be a bit of a heavy-handed approach and if other people have any suggestions for virus cleaning then you should put that between my two steps and refer to the reinstall only if you're not sure that it's clean.

There's multiple forms of anti-virus out there that I can't remember at the moment since it's midnight for me, but it's out there and if you want true security then you install any popular variation of linux so that you have an OS that can fare better against malware. The base differences in design and access make windows-specialized viruses ineffective against linux systems, and is worth the dual-boot if you can anticipate having to deal with something risky.

As for active damage control if it happens to tear apart your OS by the second, I would say to start manually terminating processes from the task manager if you can identify what is and isn't part of the system.

So far I, managed to isolate it to a non admin account and delete some of it.

I really don't want to resort to scalpel and restore tactics just yet.

Can you guys list as many trusted anti-virus programs as you can. Along with some good anti-virus command line scanners.

Pyros uses Comodo's free security suite, Local Defense, Firewall, antivirus. Even if it's not a virus, a local defense (checks for unwarranted file access/process access) can help locate and block illicit actions.


Housecall by trend micro's good for getting stuff if your local virus scan's compromised.

Alright I'm making progress at last. Also thanks pyros, I'll download those ASAP. If anyone else has anymore trusted anti virus software, please let me know.

MalwareBytes hits a lot of things AVG won't.

My computer setup for both the laptop and desktop uses COMODO for the firewall, Avast! for the antivirus, Malwarebytes to back up Avast, and CCleaner to clean out cookies, temp files and registry errors.

Good news. After much work I was able to pin point the problem and fix it.


Some how, Win 7 Anti Virus 2013 found it's way into my system along a nasty number of or viruses and malware. It also seems It was the cause of my anti virus software not working right.

After searching around on the net, I was able to learn how to get rid of it and once it was gone. I was able to deal with everything else and restore my Laptop back to normal.

In order to get rid of Win 7 Anti Virus 2013, you must activate it.

When it pops up, click registeration on the scan window. The click manuel registeration and imput this key.

3425-814615-3990

Once active, it should remove the blocks it has on you as well as remove the "Viruses/Malware" it found.

From there you can simply remove it like any regular malware and your Anti Virus Software should be working fine now.


This is the method I used to fix my problem. I'm not 100% sure this will get rid of it completly. So results may vary.

Also if it tries to update, stop it by hitting cancel. I don't know if it updateing will make it a pain to get rid of or not. Seeing as I didn't let it stay on my system long enough to find out.
