Open thread
For whatever. Haven't had one in a while.
NOTE THE EXISTENCE OF OPEN THREAD DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN'T ALSO POST ACTUAL THREAD FOR ACTUAL TOPICS PLEASE BY ALL MEANS CONTINUE TO DO SO INSTEAD OF USING THE OPEN THREAD AS THE SOLE POSTING LOCATION FOR ALL FORUM DICUSSIONS CAUSE HOLY FUCK THAT WAS ANNOYING THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED. So I'm just sitting here thinking how fun the future will be once all the exurbs have been abandoned and rotted away into slums and salvage yards. You?

what, like a post-apocalyptic motorbike Mad Max/Battletanx thing?
Speaking of BattleTanx, I actually ordered an N64 memory card from eBay, and I'm playing some of those old N64 games. That was quite the era of gaming. People didn't have established genre guidelines and rediculous expectations for game production costs, and developers were more creative. Edit: First, by the way.

ex·urb
n. A region lying beyond the suburbs of a city, especially one inhabited principally by wealthy people. Aw! Ok... So, arent we "Glass half full" today... I'm all up for some Future Post-Apocaliptic stuff in my day, just to break the mold... i mean, everytime a doomsday device or momment comes along, we all get all excited and stuff... and then... puff. All back to normal. Planet Earth is getting boring by the decade. So here's hoping for that Mayan prophecy in 2012! During the World Cup of Soccer in Africa ! |

And here I thought the last threads would have shattered your liking of Open Threads.
'Woken' is one of those words that just looks strange. Like, there's 'awake', okay, I'm with you so far. There's 'woke', mmmalright, I can see that, but woken? Suddenly we're in a different language, it's bizarre.

I'm playing WoW again. Dear God, save me please.
Red River is a totally bitching historical/love/action manga. I bought my first MP3 player. So kudos to me. Also, no music collection is complete without the Onett theme. You know your town sucks when people go to hang out at Wal-Mart. Guess where people go to hang out in my town?

Microsoft products hate me and I hate them back.
Xbox repairs nearing completion. Played Soul Cal IV at a friend's house. It was awesome. Maxi is still a whoremonger. Skills are kinda fun though. Recently I got netflix, and I've been using it to catch up on some anime shows that played on TV a long time ago. Trigun is saucy. |

Looking for an anime I haven't seen that I feel like watching. Failing.
Dying at Painkiller. Glad I don't have to work today. Also, I have some sort of nerd field. Everyone who hangs out with me slowly becomes nerdier.

Doctors... don't they get enough time off during the summer? Here I am, home to a cyst that's approaching a critical size, and our family doctor is getting ready for her vacation. Doc, what is the deal? The one time I really need you to look at something and I can't get to you. Seriously.
Also, I had a thought after reading all that about post-apoc 'burb tank battles. I thought... tankcycles.

The Ever-Changing

I have spent roughly $90.00 purchasing games I used to play 10-20 years ago. For the Wii.
I still haven't touched over half of 'em, but damned if I'm not going to own a virtual copy of The Legend of Zelda! |

/rape manga. Seriously, I think everyone and their mom tries to rape Yuri at some point. She doesn't seem to put up much of a fight either. Otherwise, yes, it is a pretty bitching historical/love/action manga.
I am excited about the future release of The Sims 3. I don't spend much money on games and such, but The Sims is my crack, and I'm extremely excited. Although it's supposed to be in real time, and I usually go months without playing between crazy obsessive playing, so does that mean when I come back all of my sims will be old and dead?
