You can stick with the movie. Trying to make a TV series of any sort with that kind of thing as the base will never result in anything but a steaming pile unless you *gasp* drastically change it to fit the format, thereby either alienating what fans of the original expect, regardless of quality, or suffer from not changing it nearly enough and ending up with something that simply doesn't work.
This is why I hate when people complain about stuff getting changed in media ports. If you don't, you end up with a crappy product. You probably still will, anyway, but at least as much as the fans bitch, the common masses will at least call it passable. Edit: Sorry, that was unnecessary. *gets off soap box* What I mean is that there's no way this is going to be anything like the movie, so by the logic of the bitching fans, it will be crap for changing too much. It will probably still be crap, inasmuch as Lost is crap, but there will invariably be fans of it who see it based on its own merits.

I haven't seen the movie, but I like Lost (present tense guys, Lost is actually still running.) I expect though that this Tv series will be about as much like Lost as Lost is like survivor. It's going to be a bunch of people stranded in a certain place together, what happens from then out will probably be very different and story telling techniques may not be the same at all. So even though I haven't seen the film, I don't think a comparison to Lost is any reason to disregard a TV show before it's even begun. I doubt it'll be all that similar to Lost any more than I've already stated, so it's not really a reason to not give it a shot if you liked the movie.

FYI: This is not the same as Prince of Persia, Blues.
Yes, it was. My favorite part was how you went, "Sorry for going off topic to talk about this and I'll stop but wait let me talk about it some more!"
Honestly, I couldn't give half a fuck about this show because I almost never watch actual television, instead sticking to my computer, I feel safe in my assumption that the movie sucks, and feel even safer in my assumption that this series will suck.

I like 2012 for the same reason a bunch of you couldn't stop singing praises to the Transformers movies. Whereas Lost is a bunch of manipulative twist after twist without any direction whatsoever that started promising and ended underdelivering. At least 2012 was always honest about what it wanted to be -disaster porn.

Needless is honest about being awesome.
I'd take this statement more seriously if you didn't hate Needless. Instead it just sounds like a bad excuse.
