Please help me pick out a laptop
I realize I asked for help recently, but I decided to get a laptop instead. (But I will get a 360 eventually. Thanks for the responses.)
So, for aprox $700, can I get a laptop that is capable of playing the Orange Box and/or the upcoming C&C: Red Alert 3 or is that not nearly enough. (If I can't get a system that would play those at the price mentioned, what about one that I could modify later on to be able to play them?) Thank you for your time. The Wandering God |

In my experience / reading of reviews Acer's laptop speakers are generally superfucked but if you're using headphones or external speakers then go to town.

I play TF2 on 'em and use the built in mic. The only issue I have is occasionally the touchpad freaks out, but I use a mouse so I don't care.

When I had that Acer laptop for a bit a while back whenever I watched movies on it I'd get this godawful crackling distortion randomly throughout the thing. Going through reviews it seems to be a not-uncommon problem with Acer's laptops. Just saying, buyer beware.
And yeah the touchpad is kind of silly in that it's not recessed low enouth to keep you from palming it as you're typing but that's probably just something you get used to.
