Default Waterman II

Hello, all. I'm Christopher Boe, head animator (the only animator) for Waterman Studios, and I thought I'd show you all our latest project: Waterman Episode II.

http://watermanstudios.com/movie2.html

Now, if you already know about Waterman and saw episode 1, but not 2, let me clear things up a bit. I am the new guy on the team after the animator of Episode 1 left to pursue "better things." And I don't do any voices, I just animate. So, enjoy the episode, and tell me what you think.

Definately one of the better shows on Newgrounds, though personally, I thought Episode I was better (the animation was actually better in Episode 2, but the writing was superior in the first). The Family Guy style works well, but a few of the joke segments in this Episode (the sword in the stone spiel in particular) fall very flat.

The writer (I'm assuming it's Brian Waterman himself?) is capable of writing better scripts, and I'm looking forward to future episodes.

Lucas is an unknown quantity at this point.

Waterman is a very potent series, but the writing style is highly reminicent of futurama. Roy-bot seems to be a funky zoidberg/bender fusion, in the least.

that said, it remains highly entertaining, but the departure from story to series leaves a bit to be desired. As stated previously the quality of the writing decreased, but i was impressed with the detail in animation (the lone hair on ice-cream girl's head in particular)

Thanks for the nice things said about the animation. The writing in episode 2 was far superior to episode 1 in my oppinon. I believe the problem that you guys have is that it went from a totally random cartoon to something with a complete story and plot. Drastic changes like that tend to affect people's train of thought.

Episode III will be a fusion between the writing of episodes 1 and 2. That way, everyone will be happy.
