I can really recommend "Stalker". Storytelling is mediocre and the ending is disappointing, but gameplay is great, and it's really atmospheric. Buy it.

I was a big fan of the games back in the day.
As always, I am disappointed by the lack of the Myst games on Steam. So disappointed.

So, if you're being serious, here's another thing to add to the "man I feel old" thread, I guess.

This post was originally meant to comfort you but then I realized I was like five when Myst came out so maybe it wouldn't help much.

Myst was a revolutionary point-and-click adventure game, the first in a series which included Riven, Myst III, and some other titles.
I sound like Wikipedia. I didn't buy anything while some of this awesome sale was going on but I was wondering exactly what buying something from Steam entails, I've never done it before. I know you have to download the game (I probably wouldn't want to buy anything over 1.5 GB), but do you have to be connected to the internet to play it?
