I've loved the game so far, but then I came to a point in the game where I thought to myself, "I've given prostate exams that were more fun than this." I have to catch a fish before I go out on the snowy mountain. And yes I got the proper coral lure to do it. However, the Wii controls for this particular aspect of the game are so fundamentally unsound and jittery that I'd rather eat razor blades than deal with a control scheme where the same flick of the wrist could either move the bobber an inch or send it flying six feet out of the water.

Poor Hyrule. Link couldn't catch a god-damned fish, and this beyond trivial matter kept Hyrule's hero from saving the day.

I just need to rant for a moment before I really hurt myself. If anyone can help me master this stupid mini-game or explain why Nintendo decided to put something so frustrating in a game that has been great up to that point, it would really help me out.

As for your fish problem, I wish I could help you, but I never got past that part either.

I feel compelled to say this, just to keep you from having to do it several times.

Smell the fish as the dog form. Thats what you do with it.

I found it was easier to just throw the lure near the fish, and wait. As patiently as humanly possible. Then pull the god-damned fish out, sniff it, and never bother with fishing again.

Sadly, there's no easy way around it.

That is the stupidest thing ever. Fish by not fishing. But it works! What the hell were the game designers on? Thanks. Now I can ice surf in peace.

Normal overworld fishing is meant to be easy in TP. The real fishing experience is when you're on the boat.

I have personally caught every fish that there is to catch, with ease. Just wait till the bobber goes completely under, pull and hold the wiimote up.

The twitching and bobbing, that is at the fishing pond, and it's very satisfying, although reeling in fish repeatedly can get tiring on the arms.

Furthermore, Roll goal requires nerves of steel and lots of rupees.
