So I'm not sure who else is as huge of a fan of this band, but I figure now is a good time to ask.

They're fantastic - MS is an awesome Swedish metal band whom started their own genre called "SID Metal," named because of the use of chiptunes from the SID Chip from the Commadore 64. Yes, they use chiptunes from the Commadore. And it rules.

I apologize - they only recently turned their entire website into a Myspace page, and it's sad.

They started out with an internet release back in 2000. I think I remember catching ahold of them when they did the Jets N Guns OST, which is a totally fantastic plane shooter but it also had great music, and then, oh hey what's this, an awesome band?

Their entire discography started out with 100% free internet releases. You can snag just about everything they did since the beginning up until they got a record deal here, clicking on the first image. I strongly recommend "Hero," "Gianna Sisters," "Cryosleep," "Soundtrack to The Rebellion," and "Winterstorm." The second one links to the Jets N Guns OST, which if you want MS sans singer, that's where you go.

The best thing about them is their complete nerdism. One of their songs is the chiptunes from the late but great Great Gianna Sisters. All of their songs have band-made chiptunes. The Jets N Guns soundtrack is completely fantastic and appropriate for a plane shooter. They did a song for World of Warcraft called "Loot Burn Rape Kill Repeat." They performed in concert a version of "Dancing Mad" from FF6 for Play! A Video Game Symphony.

They've done covers for Britney Spears and Melanie C and it came out really good.

I started listening to Machinae Supremacy after the last of these topics you did way back in, it was 06 now that I think about it. Hero and Winterstorm are also my favourites, didn't really like Cryosleep though. So yeah these guys are great. Download and buy people.

They're pretty cool, I actually dont dig the chiptunes though, but thats just me.

Ah yeah. The first song I heard from these guys was something called "Bouff." It was in an Earthbound music video, so that pretty much determined what I would think of them.

Very good music.
