NJ Ballot Question

Gubernatorial and local elections coming up next week. As far as the candidates, I've decided on all my pics. But, every year the ballot questions are so damn convoluted. Even the interpretive statements don't help much.

Here's a link to the actual question, I couldn't for the life of me find an actual text copy of it anywhere that I could just copy and paste. And here are the arguments for and against.

I am all for protecting the environment, but if it's going to stress the state financially I don't think we can take much more.

The plan is aimed at keeping up the state parks and allowing the state to buy property that's suffered repeated flooding and storm damage, i.e. if someone was stupid and built a house in the middle of what becomes a river every time it rains, rather than letting it sit and rot, the state can take it off their hands and turn it into more park land. It also lets the state buy environmentally sensitive land, like, say, a wetland ecosystem that would otherwise be drained and turned into a parking lot or have toxic waste dumped into it or whathaveyou, and, again, turn it into park land.

This is a pretty basic environmental responsibility of any state, and if it gets voted down, well, aside from wrecking the environment, expect to see shit smeared all over restroom walls and no soap or toilet paper in any park or rest stop you encounter.

I agree with Blue on this one. He makes a valid point.

Wetlands, farms, and parks it looks like. With a bit for old houses. It's typically vague. Beyond that, I can't really say anything, as I know nothing about New Jersey.
