Karakura Riser Thread: KARAKURA CANNONBALL!

Okay, so it's a new Bleach thread, but my questions are about the Karakura Riser episode, and any that might follow. (To clarify I'm at about episode 213)

It's a filler arc, right? In that case, is this one of those "Who knows where it fits in" filler arcs, or is this in Karakura while it's in the Soul Society world?

Orihime's friend whose name I can't be bothered to remember... She used some fire attack. Is that a thing she normally has, was it introduced during the filler arc with the little blond girl that I skipped, or was that just a thing from her costume? Did she find out about Kon during that arc? She called him Pseudo-Ichigo.

Also, am I the only one who thought the Karakura Ranger episodes were some of the best ones during the entire Soul Society arc?

Oh, and the Pendulum arc? AWESOME.

Karakura Riser arc lasts two episodes. It might be filler but I skipped it because after that it returns to the Espada, Aisen and Ichigo. You know, the things I care about.

That said, the Pendulum arc was awesome, I really liked finding out all the past stuff that lead to what had happened in the Soul Society arc.

Huge mistake. Karakura Riser is awesome.

213 (Karakura Riser) follows from early in 143 (Ichigo enters Hueco Mundo). You didn't miss anything by skipping the blond brat arc.

This. If Karakura Riser became it's own complete spin-off show, I would watch the FUCK out of it.

Also, on a random tangent, I must say that as much as Grimmjow is one of my favorite characters in the show, especially among the Espada, his Resurrecci�n is... kinda dumb lookin'.

The current filler has a huge pile of wasted potential. They could had Kenpachi fight whoever they liked, and they opted for A. Komamura's sword, who he's effectively already fought (He beat Komamura way back in SS arc) B. Vice Captain no.1's sword, who has a cool trick but isn't in Kenpachi's weight class ( he goes down off camera ) C. Byakuya, which was cool for the all of 2 minutes it lasted before they decided to interrupt and move the stupid ass plot forward .

Basically they made the fatal mistake of taking the silly plot idea as anything more than an excuse for a bunch of cool fights and keep interrupting the good stuff for the sake of stupid stuff.

It's preceeded by 3 one shot filler eps and the first is as good as the entire Zanpakuto arc put together. The second is a beach episode and the third is about how Karakura Delicate's sister is a crazy stalker and Isn't That Romantic? Still worth more than the Zanpakuto arc.

In the I Hate My Sword Arc's defense. There was no way for that fight to not end with one of them dieing. They really should have just showed reruns instead of stabbing them selves by having the main cast fight them selves to the death.

Don't get me wrong or anything. I like the I Hate My Sword Arc. And I think it's pretty neat to see everyone's Zanpakuto spirit.

Just to make sure, in case I decide I want to skip it, the Zanpakutou arc is another cut-away with no real affect on the story, right?

Also, Grimmjow's ears bugged me more than his legs, actually.

Unless all of the damage it's caused like Rukia's Zanpakuto being destroyed forever along with a few other key characters Zanpakutos gets reset buttoned then yeah this arc will greatly effect the rest of the story.
