Changing boot options within windows
As you probably know I am reformatting my harddrive, but ran into a problem I have no clue how to solve. For whatever reason my computer is quick-booting and I'm never given the option to enter bios. to install windows I need to boot from CD. I tried hitting F10 and F2 between button power button press and windows starting and all it does is leave the screen propetually black.
edit: what I get when I hit power is a black screen, then OS is on. No logo, no windows loading screen. Just black and then straight to desktop

Power off your computer entirely. Like, afterwards, unplug it from the wall.
Wait 30 seconds. Plug it back in. Hit the power button, and immediately after, hold down F10. Or whatever your BIOS action button is. Mine was DEL on my desktop's motherboard. |
