Chaotic Cavern anyone?
Im curious now, with the release of Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls... are they going to enter the Cavern of Chaos with enemies and characters from Final Fantasy II-VI in it? This cavern that is randomly generated every time you enter it and has the hardest foes comprehendable, all for the greatest items and equipment in the entire game?
If anyone remembers how Nuklear Power started, maybe doing such a thing will help Fighter to get his Armor of Invincibility, and Black Mage to get a knife that truly could kill Fighter, had he not been wearing Armor of Invincibility (can you imagine how much he would cry upon this happening? knowing he COULD have killed him had it not been for the armor) Just, imagine not a group of four heroic light warriors travelling the cave (remember we arent working with the real light warriors) but instead these guys travelling the caves, as they are (remember they cant grow up, then they would look like the light warriors whos roles were usurped by our current group of heroes) with all their flaws... (No, no beneficial thing to them yet, their only way to win a battle seems to be to have fighter go nuts, thief run away, Red Mage make a plan with a 1/1000000 chance of working, and Black Mage try to kill everyone whether enemy or friend) (I havent re-read this comic ever... and have been reading it for a while now, HOW DO I REMEMBER THIS STUFF?!)

Or will Dawn of Souls have no bearing on the comic at all? We shall have to wait and see... But that's interesting, I hadn't thought of Dawn of Souls in regards to 8-bit, though I eagerly await it. I can't wait to get my Ninja a sword that is actually worthwhile (The Katana just blows... I'd rather have a Master than a Ninja because of it, plus it looks like a dagger!)
Hm... Maybe Black Mage gets an Economizer... Which in FF1 setting would make his Hadoukens use up his level 1 spells... Or wait! Maybe the cave has Excalibur-Masamune sword chucks! Oh, the possibilities!

I'm curious... what is this Dawn of Souls? I haven't heard anything about it yet. If its just a way for Square to make us all buy FF1 for the billionth time, I'm not interested, but if there's anything vaguely original then I guess its worth a look.

It also includes the Japanese FFII, which is different than the FFI we remember (or not), because it was never released stateside. our FFII is actually their FFIV. I might be wrong with the details though. Also I think you can fight bosses from other Final Fantasy games at some point.
Another tidbit of information, the Fighter and Black Belt classes are renamed Warrior and Monk. Why?! IT'S INSANITY! WHY MUST THEY MOCK US 8-BIT FANS?! Ahem... I'm still naming my Warrior "Fighter". My Black Mage, Red Mage and Thief will be named by their respective classes of course.

The other information is that unlike Origins, they have actually cleaned up the games more than graphically now. They basically spent a lot of money to make sure everything was perfect (for the first time) and also added 2 things. With Final Fantasy I there is of course the caves of chaos where you fight enemies from Final Fantasy II-VI and other characters from the games, it is a randomly generated dungeon with different items in it every time you play the game (so not every time will you get 1 awesome weapon but you might get an awesome armor or something)
Final Fantasy II comes with a whole new game to it, taking part in another dimension and it is supposed to be nearly a full game. I doubt its a full other dimension as they claim, but it WILL involve the character who goes missing at the beginning of the game after you get slaughtered (FYI unless your cheating, when you play Final FAntasy II expect to lose in such a way youll cry yourself to sleep for a week...)

How about.... NO.
I personally hate the remakes, and think it would absolutely suck all kinds of ass. |

well. if the origianal FF I-II came out a lotta years ago, Square-Enix has had a lot of time to perfect the remakes and thus making Dawn probaly pretty good.
