Ok, welcome to [NAME OF WORLD PENDING], a great desertous place eerily reminiscent of the Old West, if it had been filled with magic, weird races, and slightly advanced machinations.

Technology
Offensive - Melee weapons, such as swords, knives, whips, sledgehammers, etc., are still in use, and guns are available, although nothing more advanced than six-shooters and single shot rifles. NOTE: If you go all Bullseye with your aim all the time, I will have you shot.

Un-Offensive - A SuperSonic Solar and Steam Powered Train Rail has been set up for crossing large distances (Horses are still used for every other situation). Common chores have been alleviated by clockwork machinery, and robots have been made, although their programming and abilities are limited. Some of the more advanced machinery has been put to work at the bigger jobs, drawing water, city shields, etc.

Magic
Any kind, minus Time magic. Using magic draws on the users psyche and body, so using too much can leave you weak and/or insane, temporarily or forever, if caution isn't employed. Some of the higher types of spells (summoning, conjuring of things foreign to a desert world, transmutation) can wreck an inexperienced mage. Wind, earth, light, and healing magics are popular.

Races
Human - Clint Eastwood, or any spaghetti western star. They excel at technology, best with guns. Magic comes hard for them.

Taheen - Animal/human hybrid things. They all walk on two legs and have thumbs and fingers and toes, but their head and hands are made up of their animalistic side (A crow-taheen would look like this). Since they aren't as dexterous as their fellow races, the taheen chose to excel at magic. Taheen can go longer than any other race without water or food.

Low People - A weird 'cross' between the above races, Low People at first look like cast off taheen, since all have compressed rat faces, but upon closer inspection one notices that they have a bubbling red spot on their forehead, which is actually their way of 'breathing'. Since they are not welcome in taheen society, Low People have begun to strive for 'humanism'. All Low People, upon reaching a certain age, accept a human name and don a human 'mask', a seemingly magical suit that covers up their face and hands, making them appear human. When in their masks, Low People can be identified by their uncomfortable appearance, since the mask is usually too tight or bulky, their 'breathing hole' which cannot be covered, and their odd style of clothing (bright, flashy colors). Low People are average in all fighting and magical aspects, but can use melee weapons the best.

Storyline
Whatever you guys want. I'll start the first 'Meet-up' chapter, then whoever comes up with the next chapter idea gets to the co-GM for that chapter. So if someone suggests that we do a daring train robbery, that'll be the chapter, or if we want to hunt down/escape from a bounty, we'll do that. I'd please ask that no one suggests chapters that only deal with your characters backstory though, that would get boring.
