UZ's last stand!
Yep. I'm back. Yep. GRH is cancelled. Yep. I'm not done yet.
I'm doing a brand new comic. This comic has all custom sprites, (Made by my freind El-Jonno, since I can't sprite worth crap. Really. If you don't believe me, check out my custom sprites from SMC.) a brand new plot, and this time, I'm not stealing from anyone else's idea! (You know, SMC was from 8 Bit, and GDR was a ripoff of Strongbad email.) It is... THE JUSTICE GUYS! Generic Girl, Cyberwolf, and Danger, 3 heroic heroes defeating the evils of the universe! I'll be doing it 1: http://img195.exs.cx/img195/8793/tjg12cm.png 2: http://img200.exs.cx/img200/6919/tjg24vo.png 3: http://img191.exs.cx/img191/9417/tjg35qu.png 4: http://img72.exs.cx/img72/992/tjg48ky.png 5: http://img229.exs.cx/img229/8100/tjg52in.png Um... Yea, I was bored today. 5.5: http://img133.exs.cx/img133/6546/tjgaf10bk.png So, have I finally made a comic that appeals to some people? Comment on it, puleaze! |

Making it happen.

There isn't much to say... Either not enough plot has been intro'd yet, or it's moving entirely too slow... Or it's just too random.
Personally, I'd go with a combo of the 2nd and 3rd. You mick want to: 1) Pick up the pace a bit, and don't stall any... OR 2) Hold off for a bit and do a bit of script-writing. Most comic authors do that so that they know what their comic is gonna be like in advance, and it makes it easier for them to make plot devices, and such. It really helps.

Hmm... funny you people should mention writing ahead of time... I actually had the latest 2 comics, and the comic below, written before I made the first one, and today I layed out plans for the next 3. I'm doing the best writing I can, but for some reason, my best joke ideas come while I'm sitting at the desk, thinking of what to do as I make the comic. El-Jonno is helping with the joke writing for this comic, so that should help the writing process out a little, so I don't have to make horrible, cruddy punchlines for plot enhancing comics, as VVR pointed out. Believe me. I know those punchlines were awful. Horridly awful. I think this will actually be the comic I stick to for a while. SMC, I left nothing open after they actually found Lord Gabbo, and I really couldn't think of any way to stick in new villians. GRH, I stupidly based the whole thing off of emails I recieved. I ended up getting about 7 emails in total, and I had to make up a few. This comic, I can easily end and restart, due to the fact it will be devided into "Issues" like a real comic book. Plus, Generic Girl gives me infinate comedic ideas!
Here is part 6! Enjoy! (Sorry if nobody else finds this one funny. I just couldn't help myself...) http://img208.exs.cx/img208/5667/tjg68zt.png EDIT!!!!!! OK, I have found out (From several people, actually) that the joke in #6... well... sucked. It was kind of an inside joke, so I really wasn't expecting high appraise, but on some of the other forums I post on, I got loads and loads of crappy reviews of the comic. I apoligize for the crap. This one is better, I promise. http://img130.exs.cx/img130/4459/tjg70bq.png You people are worse at replying than the people at the B+G forum! Come on! I need some comments, or I'll never get better! (P.S. Here's comic 8.) http://img200.exs.cx/img200/5601/tjg82rr.png Last edited by UZ_White; 04-10-2005 at 12:27 PM. |
