NPF Game (For real folks)

RPG Maker 2003 + Me +Your ideas.

Oh yes, it's on.

Some of you may recall me posting about a NPF game some time back. Yeah, and as you might have guessed... IT NEVER HAPPENED! Yeah, for reasons of my own the game was never finished. Later on I deleted it cause I wasn't too happy with it either.

But now! Now is a time to start over. This time something not too long, for it will take me forever and end up like the previous one. Also this time I've been thinking about some stuff more different. I though not to have a continuous game with one plot and story to defeat some greater foe etc. But rather to make it soe that in it will be what we love most about our selves... THE FUNNY STUFF WE DO!

Perhaps four or more different story lines that somehow at some point cross. Or perhaps so that to have many many sort of scenes with funny stuff in them, but to keep it as a game, so that it will be 'playable' each time.

So, if you have got any ideas, RPG maker suitable sprite sheets, face sets, midi music, anything then just tell me! Post in this thread, send me a PM or something, as you wish.

EDIT: Also I had this idea of giving each forumer their own theme (some songs would be shared so to say) and build up a 'scene' around that song somehow. If you have got theme wishes for yourself, tell me now.

I intend to put as many forumers in the game as possible.

...Perhaps it won't be that short after all...

Since I lack a Chesire Themesong, use "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" from Greenday or "Ka-Ge-Me-Tsu-Ri" from Guilty Gear X2. Alternate besides those two - "Pride and Glory" from Guilty Gear X2.

Good luck with this thing. I've seen at least three NPF games not get created. Let's hope you're more sucessful.

What does it take to get into this game? Active member in the RPs? Or just an active member on the NPF? Or just ask?

And what constitutes an RPG Maker suitable sprite sheet? 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit?

If I meet the qualifications, I'd totally like to join in.

Well then, I'd say you're probably in. He did say he was going to put in as many as possible.

It sounds really great, Oster. Much luck and all that stuff. Unfortuantley, I can't think of any ideas @.@ So I'm not much of a help. I'd be a cheerleader for you, but I doubt you want to see me in one of those uniforms waving pom poms around (Forget doubting, I sincerly HOPE you don't want to. Scary....)

I want to be one of the final bad guys. The end goal of the game should be assuming command of the forum. That is my opinion.

Needs to be in midi-format. I've got an average collection of midi-files and am able to get some songs if you've got requests, anyone.

I've allready picked some songs for some people. Not necesarrily as theme songs, but as something suitable for them in a joke.

I'm not good with this stuff to tell you the truth. You'd have to ask someone else (a computer geek), but I think that anything goes. I was mainly referring to the fact that these sprites need to have all the positions necesarry; like for walking.

To MoM: I would love to have you as a cheerleader with those pom poms or what ever...

To Shiney: You will be in the game. And you might have the song "Sunshine of Your Love" in the background at one point... Can't promise about the final bad boss since you are too pussy wussy. (Yeah, I said PUSSY WUSSY.) I'll consider the idea though.

it'll be fun, i can be on eof the people who needs help.
My idea:
Main charactor walks up to me and i say,"OMG! I can't find Muave Mage! I think Meister has finnally captured her! Please go and help me find her!"
And then as a sub-quest you have to go save Muave from Meister! ^.^

I used to play with RPG Maker a lot, this sounds cool. If we're talking about the one I used to use, just download it to see which sprite sheets you need to use. But I *recall* it using SNES graphics, or so, that's 16-bit, isn't it? Bleh.

I want to be in this game, but since I'm not really important on these forums, an NPC role would be cool.

One suggestion, as one of the storylines, should be the entire moderator team as a party, fighting off spammers, flamers, hackers, and other naughty enemies to become better moderators and cleanse the world. After that, I'd go with Shiney's suggestion and make it so the other parties have to fight the moderators and gain control of NPF. Yar.

I'd like to be in the game too. Preferably as a bad guy, but anything will do.
Ain't got a RPG maker spritesheet though, so you either have to use one provided with the program, or improvise.
