Maybe I was wrong...
Maybe video games aren't so good for you after all...
I think this is even more hardcore than the blind man who kicked ass at Soul Caliber. I got $10 saying his family sues the manufacturer of the game for damages.

Data is Turned On

Is it just me or this could be easily spinned into good publicity for the company that made the game?

I can imagine George W. Bush in the situation room during a war with North Korea:
"Okay, here's what we're going to do. Donald, I want you to order your men to empty the payloads of every bomber we have and replace them with millions of copies of Battlefield 2." Kim Jong-Il: "Build nukes!" Korean general: "Fuck nukes! Cap your fucking flag, man!"

That Guy

Well, it could.
And what got me going is that Reuters, a professional news, um, thing, wrote that Korea is one of the wierdest countries in the world. As for this man... I'm sorry for his family, and I think we all know that that many hours of anything kill. I just hope enough people know that that if the anti-videogame front decides to try and use this as publicity "The VIDEOGAME killed him!" everyone can shrug them off.

Though I want to know how anyone can be so obsessed with a game that they do something like that... although, I will admit to playing one game for twenty hours... though, that was to see just how quickly I could beat it. I just can't wait to see HOW, exactly, they try to pin the fault of this on the developer.

"You should have made your game suckier!!!!1"
Well, remember in EarthBound how Ness's dad would sometimes call if he'd went for a playing streak that was too long? Maybe MMORPGs should have a feature like that.

Korea isn't quite the same... consumer protection doesn't exist to the same degree there as it does here. In other words: law suits are very very very unlikely.
Also: I could totally play games for 50 hours straight with naps and bathroom breaks so long as I had some chips at the computer. ...I'm relatively sure I've done it a few times when I was younger.
