MGS Peace Walker makes me need a PSP
In case anyone didn't see the newest Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker trailer (in english!) here you go!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhQ9OCfs2dI Am I the only one who is wishing that the Big Boss story arc was the one with the big budget coming out for the bigger systems rather than Metal Gear Rising? (but maybe I'm just a Big Boss fangirl. :o ) On the other hand, from watching Portable Ops, I really love that style of cutscenes too. And is that Otacon's daddy I see there? (I bet it is) Also, um, Big Boss' new uniform is... interesting Fun fact: The tiny words on his crotch plate say "Protection Shock Plate Here". Perhaps he learned something from the whole Volgin incident.

What is that?
I mean, it DOES look interesting, but... what is it? Kevlar-and-plate combo? Bomb-squad suit adapted as body armour? What? |

You are not the only one Celes ...
MGS rising doesn't sound that good ... I love the "realistic" approach of the older metal gears (MG,MGSN and MGS3) .. mgs4 was all about robots and super futuristic soldiers and MGS rising is gonna be the same way .. I didn't like portable ops much, but this one looks great. The characters looks interesting (yeah that might be Otacon's dad), the soundtrack is as always fantastic and the digital novel cutscenes are beautyful ! For some reason i find the : "The "soldiers without borders" are born" line extremely awesome :p Outer Haven is awesome !!!! Now i wish i had a PSP

I purchased the Dissidia bundle ($200) and 10 used games ($85). I also picked up Persona for $40.
The great thing about the PSP being "failed" in so many people's minds is the used games are dirt cheap, and I found some great games on the system! I haven't played a MGS since the second one, but I watched a buddy of mine play through MGS 3 and I kinda want this game.

But they are still more realistic than the whole beast unit from mgs4... and i wasn't talking about the bosses ... i meant the stories and technology. What's wrong with the Shagohod?? It's way more realistic than the bipedal metal gears!

And as far as realistic, I think maybe he was reference more of the... more natural feel of the "early" games instead of "NANOBOTS DID IT" Quote:
But anyway, yeah, I think Peace Walker looks like it's going to be amazing.

now after reading your comments on it ... it's kinda weird... It looks cool but it looks sort of too "futuristic" for the 60's. "MAJOR! I was waiting for you in my room! It's chocolate sundae night!"

I don't get it. They release all the Ratchet & Clank PSP titles for the PS2, but they can't be bothered to release the Metal Gear titles? Ugh.
Well, as PSP Go will be all digital, I'm hoping that both this title & the earlier Portable Ops title, will go up on the Playstation store & somehow will be playable on the PS3. Doubtful, given Sony's lack of enthusiasm for emulation, but I can hope. I really don't like the PSP's controls & screen size, but its got a number of titles that I lament not being able to play. I pick up the PS2 versions when I can, but they aren't always available. SWB

On the topic of the actual video, I'm excited that it seems like Big Boss is going to start embracing his actual title with the "From now on, I'm Big Boss" line from the end of the video (or something along those lines) EDIT: Oh yeah, Is that Master Miller I see?
