Ever Think That Games Would Be Better With A Console Gamepad?
These guys agree with you!
The first time I heard about these guys they were advertising their services for use with Wow, and I was kind of impressed. There are those games out there that just feel better with a keyboard and mouse combo, but I think having a broader choice for a gamepad - especially for those people who are more comfortable with console gaming - is a fantastic idea. I also think that this guy deserves some credit. So what do you guys think? Yea or Nay? Last edited by Seil; 02-25-2008 at 09:22 PM. |

I disagree and think you need to stick to your console if you think a controller like that is a solution. Switching between modes and all that crap? No thank you. There is no way in hell you'll play a laptop game from 5 feet away and be able to see or read anything.

WoW I prefer to play w/mouse & keyboard, but games like TES3: Morrowind have so many controls, it feels more comfortable with a controler. It's a game by game basis really.
FPS are best played with a controler in my opinion, because it feels more natural. |

I prefer game pads for things like driving games, but I like my mouse and keyboard for MMOs and FPSs.

Yeeeah, son.

The only times I find this useful is when playing games that are on both consoles and PC (for example, Oblivion and most FPS's). If it was for any programmable PC controller, it'd be ok, I guess..
But seeing that it requires an Xbox 360 controller, then I don't really see the point....

Like... with Jetpacks?

Something I learned from Command and Conquer 3 on the 360(only the demo).
RTS's are meant to be played on PC. Not on consoles.

That's so PC of you

Well, some games benefit from Mouse + Keyboard combo... MMORPG's and FPS for instance...
But ofcourse, there is no denying that here are quite a few "pro-gear" thingies that are tryign to make that combo "even easier to use" with like a oval Keyboard missing a bucnh of keys so you can reloead and/or buff faster with less cramps... Doom II, Wolfenstein 3d... those are good for consoles. But "Point and CLick" ? Those are for PC's... thank goodness that some consoles now accept USB Keyboards and mouses. All that wen eed is Game developers aloowing we to use them in the games. |

What's all this mode switching shit? Pssssh. Way too clunky for me. I still remember my first game using mouselook. It was so totally awesome.

Time is something else.

Yeah. Games that require a lot of micromanagement and skill juggling, like MMOs, are often just much better with a mouse and keyboard combo.
How I wish I could play games like Disgaea and Final Fantasy Tactics with a mouse and keyboard.

I don't see what's wrong with a general joypad. I have one (slightly broken after 10 years), with four buttons (ABCD), turbo A and B, and two paddles. When both paddles were working, it was more than I needed for most things.
