shameless plug
i dont really know of any other way to go about this, so ill do it in the most blatant way possible. my roommate and are trying to start a webcomic (its about video games! yeah, original...i know) and we've got our first strip up. its currently on my freind's live journal (im not exactly sure why) but here it is: www.livejournal.com/users/saxifridge/

Good effort. I'd offer the following suggestions:
1. Constant fluctuations in text size = fugly. If you're having trouble keeping your text in the existing balloon, change the size of the balloon. I do all of my text over a translucent white layer to get it laid out over the panels, then I do my balloons under the text; that way everything fits together. 2. I noticed you're using JPEG format. JPEG makes web comics look like they're on welfare. JPEG is good for one thing: p0rn. Try using GIF or better yet, PNG. You'll be dumbing the strip down to 255 colors at most, but I don't think that will affect your work too much. Experiment with the different optimization options to find an acceptable balance between file size and color loss. It's far better than having a strip overrun with JPEG artifacts. And more people will take time to look at it.
