Pirates vs. Ninjas RP sign-up/Discussion

ok, remembering magic chicken's thread, i thought i would make this one. also, im TRYING to be as historical as possible without having to look up information, so dont be nitpicky about innacurate historical things. and this RP isnt really meant to be historical anyway..

In Japan, there have been recent stealth attacks towards the government by gold-thirsty pirates. the reign of Tokugawa is in progress, and he has ordered the hire of ninjas to assist the government in ridding Japan of its piracy. you are caught between the middle and must choose. will you either join the piracy and attack the government or join the ninjas and protect the government??

please, when you put in stuff for your character, dont make anything too unrealistic. no fire coming out of people's arms or something like that. make it more realistic.

anyway, with the real RP, i was thinking in a perspective that there are actually 2 plots. one for the ninja and one for the pirate. im still thinking about what i should do for the actual RP, so feel free to input some ideas for the RP.

Name: Ryu Kamiyoshi
Age: 23
Gender: male:
Appearance: 6'1 with light brownish skin. pretty lean and skinny.
Pirate or Ninja: Ninja
Short Range Combat: 3
Long Range Combat: 2
Stealth: 5
Skills: being a ninja, Ryu mostly kills by sneaking behind an opponent and killing them. generally good with a sword.
Short Range Weapons:
Sword
Knife
Long Range Weapons:
Poison Shuriken
Bow and Arrow
Bio: growing up, Ryu never really liked pirates. he started to hate and despise them after what they had done to his family. they were slaughtered without mercy because his village was believed to house large amounts of precious minerals. ever since, Ryu has tried to learn the ways of the ninjitsu, honing in his stealth and combat.
