From a current comic reader... The Magneto thing was the stupidity of Grant Morrison and Chris Claremont combined to create a mindless excue for a death and rebirth. But if you're smart, you'll read Astonishing X-men and ignore the entire thing like 90% of the sane Xmen fans.

I stopped reading after Cyclops died. Then I picked up a TPB years later and saw him in there having sex with the White Queen! Godammit!
