The Mods are In a Bad Mood

Has anyone else noticed the abundance of probations that are being hurled around the forums? It seems that the mods are no longer taking shit from anyone.

I half expect to get put on probation for this post.

I've noticed it too, but it just seems like a bad week to me.

Although if punishments are being handed out more frequently than normal right now, then I could wager a few guesses as to why.

I haven't really noticed a change in the Mods plural, but I have noticed that Shiney has been hitting the forums a lot more, as of late. And he's always been an aggressive enforcer of the rules.

(Well, excluding that short period of time where he was a face-eating sadist, back on the eZforums.

)

Of course, the other mods might be clamping down on transgressions as well, I wouldn't know. At any rate, I wouldn't worry about it. A few of the probations I've seen are from some faily newbie-ish posters who likely just made a stupid mistake.

All of the probations you've seen were from shiney probationing people who said "I haven't seen _____ movie" in the movie choosing thread, when he clearly warned people not to say that, several times.

I haven't really noticed, and to tell you the truth I can't think of a time where they really abused their powers at all. In fact, even when he (Shiney) tried to make you think he was abusing his powers, he really wasn't (Reference to several posts in the Changing Names Thread).

Then again, maybe I'm a mime hiding from the world in an invisible box. Who knows?

Huh, well...what I can say is if you have a problem with it PM the mods or something. I'm sure if you are polite then they will listen. I for one have not seen any evidence of mods abusing thier powers. There just have been a lot of people spamming and a lot of newer people coming around.

I'm gunna go with IHMN's theory. There was one guy really recently who double posted twice and had a one-word post and shiney gave him a warning (albeit a stern warning and an omen of sorts), but he's still around in complete form. If the mods were really in a mood, I'd assume he'd be smoked.

I think you're right about the movie thread. Still, it didn't seem to me like something that people would NORMALLY get probation for, but far be it from me to question Shiney's actions.

Seems like they've been in a GOOD mood to me... Lots of forum participation... Enthusiasm... Jokes...

I think along with that though, they do their job. I, for one, am thankful. This is the only forum I can stand being on.

Also, I think Queen Qeeko's comics and Cheshire Theif's songs have added a nice element to NPF... Seems to be putting everyone in a good mood lately, leastways on the forums.

Mods seem normal to me.

Shiney being the sarcastic manical dictater. (I've seen how you act on aim!!)
and the rest of em just not being around.

Seriously, they are doing there job how they see fit. It may just be that there are more people disregarding rule's right now.

I doubt they are in a bad mood or something.

Btw by way shiner acts on aim... bad mood = mass bannage... T-T
