Need help picking out a game
I have a problem. My mother and I have become quite bored. We need to get a LAN game. We both like RPG type games (anything along the lines of gauntlet would be cool too) but none of those REAL RPG games (Bioware, Black Isle)
We've had enough of Diablo 2, and need some help. Hate to be picky, but... Oh yeah, no FPS games either |

Do you mean LAN for PC, Gamecube, Xbox...? Starcraft and Warcraft are fun, but you probably already have them. I'm not really a PC gamer, so that's about the entire range of my knowledge, sorry.

Hmm....if you don't mind some older games, I'd go with some old fashioned 2 played Space or Flying sims. Caombat Flight Simulator 2 or Tie Fighter vs X-Wing.
But uh....you could even get some coop games like Sim City 4. Sorry, I don't play PC games online so I'm not much help...-_-

I'm don't play pc games much either but i like Civilization 3 and its expansions. One of them does have multiplayer mode and its a fun game. If you like Sim City you'd probably like it.

Darkstone is a fun game... and, if you can get the multiplayer to work, it isnt bad. Its also cheap - I remember getting it and 2 other games for 10 bucks.
Altho it is a Diablo clone, so... :/

I appreiciate the feedback, I had suggested some of these to my mom, but neither of us really like the sim/strategy games (I've been playing warcraft 1/2/3 since they came out, and I haven't ever won a match against a human)
and darkstone doesn't like my computer for some reason. she will play jedi academy, but she's better than I am in that game (which kills me inside, I always thought I was the best) If only we could still afford to play Everquest Keep em coming guys/gals! |

Well if he can't afford to keep playing EQ, I'd think XI is out of the question. How about Never Winter Nights sense you mentioned RPG's. If your looking for something free and fun you could also try Gunbound. (goundbound.net) it's a free download and plays alot like worms.
