DnD Advice
Sadly, I have yet to find a game shop with DnD in my area, though I'm sure there is one.
Thus, I must make do with what I find at Barnes & Noble. (And, with no credit card, online is ruled out) So. As of now, there are several DnD books I don't have at B&N. Next weekend, I'll have enough money to get one. I'm just wondering which one you think is the most worthwhile, though I like the Complete Adventurer. All of em' cost 30-45 dollars, a bit less with my 20% off thing for being a member. The books are: The Player's Handbook II, Complete Champion, Complete Scoundrel, Complete Warrior, Complete Adventurer, Draconomicon, Monster Manuals II-V, and the Magic Item Compemendium. Thanks. |

I'd take the PHBII or Scoundrel. Are you looking just to flesh out your collection or are you looking for the manual that will help you in DMing?

I wouldnt suggest a player book now when D&D4 seems to be rolling out any day... you will make very little use to that book...
I would sugeestin the Compendium or the Draconomicon... both have good stuff, and you will probably be able to adapt most by yourself. The "complete series" i see, most of that material will probably be merged into the next PHB Last edited by Bells; 11-10-2007 at 05:49 PM. |

The best thing in complete scoundrel is also on the web. The rest isn't something I'd pay for.
Of the list only, I suggest the PHB II simply because of how awesome it is, and the Magic Item Compendium, because it's just filled to the brim with stuff. In any event, 4e won't make 3e useless, because even 2e still sees use, but it will almost certainly make the price of 3e books plummet, so consider both of those paths.
