Meet the Spartans - Epic Scary 300 Movie Film
So, yeah, I'm still not sure about this movie. Some parts of it were great - Bearded baby Leonidus, all the TV jokes (ANTM, American Idol judging, Dancing with the Spartans, Deal or No Deal), and the random-ass appearance of Ugly Betty made me laugh pretty hard. But I wasn't laughing the whole time, which I kind of expect in a movie that's supposed to be ultimate parody.
If you liked Epic/Scary Movie series then you should probably see it. It was alright.

If they had skipped like Scary Movie IV through Epic Movie the concept would've seemed a bit fresher. Then again the badness of half of the jokes is probably because they made too many of the stupid things.
Not to mention that parodies should not go after specific films but should instead be based around cliches of the genre, in order to both have originality and to be wittier. It's the difference between the wonderful Johnny Dangerously and the mediocre Mafia!

Well to Meet the Spartan's credit, they did make fun of most movies that are out right now. The problem is it looks like it cut a majority of them - The Donald Trump scene wasn't there, there was no Rambo scene, and I'm watching the credits and they gave tribute to like twenty people who weren't even in the movie.
I'm guessing they're going to have a special edition that sucks less, hoping anyway.

So we are clear

I never really understood why the preview of a movie, is often scenes that aren't actually even in the movie

I'm pretty sure this movie wasn't as funny as it seemed to be. About halfway through, we smelled a weird smell, like a gas leak. We later concluded it had to be laughing gas. HAD TO BE.

Haven't seen it, don't plan on it, but the trailer where the car turns into the robot with the 'LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE' part does get a chuckle from me.
