Most Frustrating Moments in Videogames
So what are some really frustrating things you had to do in a game?
For me its Jak 2. All of it. It took me from about 5 pm until about 4 am that morning to kill the mother-fucking final boss.

When I have to travel from point A to point B, point B some obscene distance away and the way is not particularly interesting (especially if I've done this lots) and populated by enemies who aren't strong enough to trouble me but are just annoying.

But it's nowhere near as frustrating as Assassins Creed. All of it. I would go into detail (read rant), but this video pretty much says it all.

Really, you found Assassin's Creed frustrating?
The final boss yeah, that was bullshit for sure. You spend the whole game mastering these combat techniques, and none of them are effective against him, like at all. It took me a good half hour to beat him. Okay, my turn! Escorting Survivors in Dead Rising. Actually, I hate escorts in all games. We are not at the point in gaming technology where AI programmers can put together a decent god damn AI that isn't completely retarded and won't run headlong through a crowd of enemies, dying/almost dying, just to get closer to you. Dead Rising is much worse. They twitch and stop at erratic intervals, stop randomly to slowly push one zombie over, most of them won't accept weapons from you, and most have these neurosies that drive you nuts. And there's just enough bugs in the actual game itself to make it impossible to properly safeguard them. They follow waypoints you set okay, but then the waypoints reset if you leave the area AT ALL, and they all beeline towards you when you re-enter the area. Even if it was just for a second. And, if you're in a different area, no matter where you left the survivors, even if it's in a place that is always 100% completely free of zombies when you're in the area, they all begin to lose health. Apparently the designers figured if husky handsome Frank West wasn't right fucking beside them at all times, they would methodically rip each other throat's out, all at the same time. And yes, I say all this after labouring for approximately 12 hours to get the "Frank The Pimp" and "Tour Guide" achievement. This required having 8 female survivors with me at one time. Oh, and other bugs in the game make it even harder to do that, I only mentioned the half of it. So, most frustrating in recent memory. But I found a stress reliever. I got to a save point, saved my game, and then pulled out my chainsaw and murdered them all. Tonight I think I'll lure them all into a big group of zombies and take pictures of them getting ripped to shreds. Oh man, if Nique ever read that... |

The credits stage of Katamari Damacy. I can't roll up all the countries because the camera starts to go away as the time is nearly ending. Also, me trying to beat Cowboys from Hell on expert and losing at 93% every goddamn time I try.

Concerning Jak II
God did I hate Dead Rising's save system. I guess my most frustrating moment was during our first (and most definitely last) 50-Round game of Mario Party 4. Somehow me and one of my friends ended the game with the same amount of stars AND coins, so the winner was decided by a dice roll. I went first, got a 7, felt pretty confident. She rolled an 8, I destroyed a controller that wasn't mine.

GTA San Andreas, any mission that includes model airplanes or, worse, regular airplanes. Maybe it's the PC controls or I don't know. I just know a few weeks ago I thought "wouldn't it be great fun to play through GTA:SA again?", started a new game, and I was an hour or so in when I realized "yes it would but no way in hell am I doing that RC model mission or the flight school ever again" and it's been gathering dust ever since.

Getting the treasure chest in Soul Cal IV that requires you to win with 0 time left. I swear to god I probably had 40 instances where my grab/throw animation finished and KO'd with 1 second left on the clock.

On that note: Final Fantasy X, Celestial Weapons.
On that note, I do wish the guys who made the PAL version of FFX hadn't placed the Dark Aeons such that they block access to several useful items, many of them useful in the sense of "would be damn useful against the Dark Aeons." |

The final boss in the Pit of 100 Trials on Super Paper Mario. I really want to shank whoever came up with that shit.
