Fate/Stay Night Interest thread

Something I've been thinking of doing. For those of you that dont know here is the basis. Seven modern day magi (masters) summon heroic spirits (famous people from myth and lore) to fight in a THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE style war for the holy grail. These seven fit into one of the catagory of saber (swordsman), lancer, archer, rider, caster, assasin, and berserker. You can probably figure out on your own what each fights like

Now how things will be done. You will have two characters, one public, one secrete. Public will be your mortal character. Secrete will be your heroic spirit, all info about your spirit will be sent through PMs for approval. Meaning, you will know the masters in the game but have no idea who their servant is, what their class is, nor what abilities they have.

Players may also take secrete actions, setting things like ambushes and traps for the others. Things will be done like a day/night time table. Players can also make alliances as they wish, though ultimately this is a last man standing game.

Be aware both your characters have to die in order for you to lose. A PC servant can ally with a PC master

Yes you can use real famous people, in fact I encourage it. Part of Fate/Stay Night is that most of the servants were believed to be actual people elevated to legendary status. The only criteria is they cannot be 100% definitively fictional. Most infamous people either their existance is possible, or there are those that believe this person was real. Those that still worship the Olimpian gods for example believe Hercules was once an actual living being.

To put it another way, i just dont want people using Goku. Though you can play as Sun Wukong from Journey to the West who Goku is based on as the book itself is an intigrated cultural narrative.

Simplest rule, if the person most likely existed, or is from a religion (5 of the 7 in the series are) then its ok.

Backstory: Vlad Dracule was born to a family of wealthy nobles in the old turkish city of Byzantine however due to having some troubles with merchants there his family quickly moved away to The Dutch neatherlands, and it was there they established the famous Castle "Dracule" which is manipulated by common pop culture to "Dracula" it was also there that he made a binding deal with the devil to make himself immortal. But as with all deals with a being so dark there comes consequences. He attained desire... no a nessecity for the blood of other living beings, and a extreme vulenrablity to the UV rays that the sun produced. Now many think that Vlad Dracule died on the day the Turkish merchants to the north invaded his castle with a force numbering in the tens of thousands, and in a way they were right. Vlad Dracule was no more. he had been reborn as Alucard. The first vampire.
Powers:


Fiendish speed: Alucard has incredible speed that was given to him as part of his immortal pact with the Devil himself, and this igves him the ability to dodge bullets with a reasonable chance of success.

Inhuman STRENGTH: Alucard as is the want of a vampire has insane speed, and strength beyond that even witnessed in the modern day olympic steroid filled comeptions. A car to him is bty far to heavy, but a simple dumpster is something he can throw.

Black magicka: it was through his mastery of the black arts is what allowed him to become as Immortal, adn through the centuries he has become even more powerful through study of the darkest texts, and most vile teachings this is his piece de` resistance, and his most powerful ability.

I have a question! So the legendary spirit servant is the one we keep a secret, correct? Does the person we combine him with have to be a legendary figure as well? Can I just have random schmuck A running around kicking people in the head with a legendary hero making him stronger? Also in regards to the weapon/combat types, do riders actually wield weapons or would all I get be some sort of mount? Would it be better if I just hunted down the original context? I've still got 6 or 7 ideas bouncing around, so this might help me narrow it down. Still really excited! Thanks a bunch

FF I will most likely have a lose stat based system. Just enough of one to guage certain areas compared to one another. I also hope you are aware you just revealed all your secrete info.

As for you being legendary, you aren't. In fact you can be down right mortal. You need to be a human capable of magic, but that doesn't mean you know how to do any.

Riders as a rule have their own weapons, but these weapons are typically mundane with no magical properties. They typically are agile even without their mounts and their mounts are their noble phantasm. You cannot allow outsiders to become aware of the war (have to wipe their mind of kill them). Most mounts would be large and flashy, not something you can use in most places.

Anyways I guess there is enough interest to warrent an actual sign up, I can do that tonight
