Pardon me, but, uh, did everyone else in the world's old Gold and Silver cartridges suddenly evaporate or something? I really dislike how people treat remakes of perfectly functional old games as some sort of "best thing evarr" when there's nothing wrong with the copies they have. Especially when Nintendo systems have survived wars. There's really no good reason someone can't pop said old cartridges into their GBA (SP) and play from there, or God forbid drag out their Game Boy Color and play in adequate lighting.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering that. I mean, the original Blue and Red cartridges are getting up there in years, but Gold and Silver aren't that old. It doesn't really seem like a remake is necessary yet.

Red and Blue were released in '98 and the remakes, Fire Red an Leaf Green, in 2004, 6 years later. Gold and Silver were relased in '00 and now, 9 years later, may be getting remakes. I think it certainly counts as an ok time.

Except they aren't compatible with any of the GBA or DS Pokemon games.

As EVIL says, it's cool because you can trade Pok�mon acquired in Johto over to D/P/Pa.

I'm sad, mad and enraged right now... i was expecting a new deal here! How come people get so hippity happy with new Pokemakes of old Pokemon games and "It's the same game but with new crap in it!" Pokemon games? People usually go apeshit on Squeenix when they remake almost any Final Fantasy game... what gives?

C'mon... a remake of Gold and Silver? That would be cool i guess... But c'mon!! Nintendo, you already showed to have the Balls to re-sell crap with The "new control scheme" series, and by remaking Animal Crossing FOREVER, you even had the Brass to release DS Titles on the Wii as brand new full retail price games... you hade the Cojones to sell us Echoes of Time on the Wii! Which WAS the DS game to the extent were we had to play with 2 screen at the same Time!!!!!

C'mon man!! don't do this to us anymore... remake Pokemon Gold & Silver as a WII game!! Full 3d! You can do it!! What about a new Stadium Game?! Hell, i would even settle with Pokemon games being released on the Virtual Console! You already gave us Snap and Puzzle league... stop being such a tease!

But i'll concede... Pokemon G/S/C remake would also be pretty cool i guess... =(
