If Black Mage had passed his Ordeal, would he have gotten Ultima?

If Black Mage had passed his Ordeal, would he have gotten Ultima? It seems to me if he had succeeded in banishing the EVIL from his heart then he would become incapable of utilizing his Hadoken. Isn't it probable then that he would have found it replace with Ultima?

Well we don't know ultima is the opposite of Hadoken... we know it's very powerful, it may work on a similar principle as Hadoken. Ultima is just a powerful spell that was referenced once or twice i think

It was referenced once earlier in the comic; BM refers to it as a theoretical spell that would require focusing willpower to split particles of matter.

So a nuclear explosion, basically.

EDIT: As for the Hadoken, BM bought it from some elder gods, so he probably would have had that regardless. If he had banished his own evil, however, he probably wouldn't want to use it anymore.

Yes, but Black Mage seemed to imply that it was a spell beyond anything he had, and it was probably similar in appearance to the Hadoken. It would just be nice if we could know that it is what he would have received if he hadn't failed at the Ordeals.

Not a spell most likely.

Blue Magic.. possibly, since he became a blue mage... or maybe a summoner... who knows. I doubt he'd just get a spell, even a powerful one.

Yeah I remember that, I'm just saying he'd have some sort of class change, not a spell. A summoner is a pretty powerful mage class..

Black Mage totally passed his ordeal. Why wouldn't he have? If anything he showed the most insight in how ordeals work of all the Light Warriors, since Red Mage and Fighter killed theirs mostly by accident.
