Is there even a smidgen of hope for BM?

1: Red Mage over came his flaw of pride when he looked into the data sphere and afterwords acknowledged how insignificant he was in the grand scheme of things.

2: Fighter over came his flaw of sloth when he finally woke up and realized that Black Mage was a potential threat to White Mage and stood against him.

3: Thief overcame his flaw of selfishness when he risked his life in a desperate gambit to save everyone else's despite the fact that as a ninja he could have "just be out of here".

Lastly there is BM. Is there any hope for this guy at all, or is it just too obvious that there isn't?

He hangs around a guy who is dumber then a doorbell. I can see why he's a psychopath and theres no hope for him. Fighter has rotted his brain.

We have been given reasons for why he is homocidal... scratch that, omnicidal (I don't know if thats a real word but it is now). He was born with the ability to destroy the entirety of creation. Ok, so maybe not the ability, he has tried several times and it always backfires, but he has the power to destroy all creation. and because he doesn't try very often, I feel that must mean there has to be a lot of good in him. It just happens that is is buried on on the evil in the universe since the begining of time X2

I thought the reason he was never really successful is 1) He's kinda incompetent. 2) He gets distracted fairly easily.

well, it can't be said that Karma is holding BM back. This can be said rather certainly because if Karma effected BM his life would be much worse. Much, much, much worse. So I'm going to have to say either coincidence, or deep down inside, he really doesn't want to destroy everything. I think its probably just coincidence taht everytime he tries to destroy something it ends up backfiring. Do any of you remember BM's life long dream? to own a shoe shop, where he spends the rest of his days in a little town, making simple shoes. If it weren't for the fact that its apparently "illegal" in corneria to kill a shoe shop owner, steal his shop, then turn his face into shoes (King steve makes some weird laws) then BM would probably be there right now.

Sins are evil/bad sides of human nature, yeah, but there aint sin named evil.

So let's see some of those washep up seven deadly sins.
There's this sin named lust, but BM is still that kind of guy if you get what I mean.
Gluttony of course, as BM is a fat pie ass.
Anger, well, stab, stab, you are only so angry BM, because you are that kind of guy, sheesh.
BM envies Thief and even Fighter sometimes!
I would say that one of BM sins would be pride, but he really don't have that! And he aint greedy! And not apathetic, only impotent!

So he really has only four-seventh, he isn't truly evil after all.

BM wouldn't last as a shoe shop owner. Any customer who looked at him funny, said something stupid, insulted him or was just plain normal would end up being killed by BM so he would depopulate the town in a matter of hours most likely. When it comes to anything that requires major effort on BM's part he screws it up. I'm blaming incompetence or that fighter may have some weird effect on BM to somehow keep his world destruction impulses in check.
