OH NO!!! Could Sarda really mean the end of the LWs?
I hope they find a way to beat Sarda and continue on their epic quest! I've been reading 8-Bit since the beginning and I have to say I would be very sad to see them go, but I'm starting to feel like Sarda may be the ultimate japenese version end boss that's impossible to beat! It almost seems like a futile attempt for the LWs. I really hope Brian isn't planning to kill them off so that he has more time to work on his other projects, because 8-Bit always has been and always will be my favorite comic of all time, I practically grew up to it! Oh yeah BM is so crazy cool now lmao, Sarda may be the most powerful being of all time, but surely BM comes in second at this point with his new found dark magic, right? Fighter may be half brain dead (lol) but he is the greatest swordsman in that universe, Thief... well hes a ninja, nuff said :ninja: , and RM seems to have learned every black and white magic spell except for the dark magic of BM and the Omnipotent magic of Sarda, so if they worked together for once I think they must have at least a sliver of a chance! Right? Also a thought crosses my mind, since BM is still a blue mage underneath all that new dark/hate magic hasn't he been learning every spell that Sarda has cast on them since the encounter began? I know he tried to prove it with the word rearangement spell but it did'nt seem to work, I think that's because Sarda just recast the same spell to change his words back, But what about the spell that made them feel pain in every cell in their bodies? Surely BM learned it since he survived? It seems like BM is secretly getting stronger and stronger with each of sardas spells, thereby giving them just a little more hope to win. Surely if they put aside their eternal loathing for one another (LMAO they hate each other so much) then they could come out victorious. Lemme know your opinions on the matter, I would just hate to see 8-bit come to an end, i always kinda hoped it would go on forever :gonk:

The problem with your Sarda theory is what BM says in the first panel.
I'm totally willing to bet that if BM cast the spell to feel tons of pain from every particle in the LW's body, that it would backfire similarly, however you never know what Brian has in store Nezz, that was unnecessary.

Don't knock Jim Davis man. Sure he reuses the same jokes. His comic isn't the most mentally provoking thing in the funnies section. A sure, most of the jokes are focused around eating or sleeping. But danggit you can't rip on Garfield!
Uh, anyway look. Even if this is the last arc, which I kinda doubt, it will take Brian about a year to finish it. Seriously it's been how long sense the Fiends died? And in the comic it only happened about twenty minutes ago, tops. |

Brian has said that the comic would end plenty of times* and pretty much flat out said this was the last quest. Granted, this was over a year ago, but what do you expect?
*Well, it did end twice so far.

If 8bit went on forever, it would reach the point where it jumped the shark and that would be SAD.
Better let it end in awe than sink in shame.

Really, even if the Light Warriors manage to pull off a victory, they've pretty much reached the end of the game. And it only makes sense for the end of the comic to more or less coincide with the end of the game. Because the comic is based on the game. Which is almost over. So there's no more game left to base the comic on. Which means no more comic. 'Cause it's based on the (almost over) game.

Everything needs an ending. Things can't just go on forever as it'll get stale and boring. Simpsons is a prime example of something needing an end. in the last 5 seasons there's been maybe a good laugh once an episode(and thats being generous). Brian also probably has plans for other comics and whatnot he wants to do, if he just continued on with 8bit he wouldn't be able to do them or he would but it would be at probably a slower pace then he wants to or 8bit would slow down till people stop reading it because it updates less frequently.
