Video Game Weapon Power Level Amendment
Hey all.
Been playing video games for quite a while. Just like every other player, sometimes I had to wrap my head around the notions of specific examples of weapons or skills which do so much more damage than feasibly possible. For example, I remember in Super Mario 3 in the second world which was a desert land, Mario had to dodge "Angry Sun" as it tried to divebomb our poor hero and kill him via contact... Ignoring the fact that the sun was OBVIOUSLY not to scale or that divebombing so that it's inches from the ground would have burnt everything to a crisp... it could be killed by a Koopa Troopa Shell of all things! So apparently one of those weapons have galaxy crippling powers (and yet they get bounced off by ordinary stone walls and get killed by ordinary fireballs) Additionally, in Final Fantasy, some summons or limit breaks shows animation of the entire*BLEEP*ing galaxy exploding in the blaze of glory and obviously not harming the party... or killing the foe with 100% certainty... or EVEN MISSING! And yes, I realize that some games have weapons that are way more powerful in cutscenes than in gameplay action... like Kingdom Hearts 2 Keyblades that slice skyscrapers throw at the heros in half, but still need multiple hits to destroy the higher level mooks. Also with the mixing of games that are hit point based like Final Fantasy or state based health. Thus we'll make a web or power-gauge to figure out where each and every weapon or skill falls. We can take the previous post's web and edit to add stuff to it. It's all for fun, so let's not get into a huge argument about it. :3 I guess I'll start off a bit. *Leaves come from certain Megaman games where they still have the ability to destroy certain robots despite their piddly nature in the meat-world.* Leaves (Megaman) <<< Galaxy Explosion (FF) < Keyblade (KH2) < Koopa Troopa Shell (Super Mario) |

Infinity + 1 Fish
In Earth Special Defense Force 2015 or whatever it's called, you can blow up skyscrapers with a single grenade. That's pretty great.
In Phantom Brave I hear you can kill people with a fish.

My team has a Mine cart, Bush, Cactus and a very powerful sunflower.

You mean like using Earthquake inside SilphCo building (or any building for that matter) or Explosion in a tightly confined area? =P

My notion was always that the power level of weaponry was less wonky than the tougher baddies were just that much stronger through superhuman ability.
Like, yeah, you get a sword that can cut through a building, but then the baddie is superhumanly durable and is a bit tougher than a bit of glass and steel. One would assume the hero is, too, if s/he can be pulling off stunts like that. Power is relative. Very few games start you off at normal human statistics and even fewer end with you that way.

If I made a summon and there would be a summon like a space dragon shooting the earth but if you ever used it you would die when the planet explodes. It'd be sweet.

Man, I hope that was enough points for a few 1ups, or Mario is kinda screwed there.
