New Year's Resolutions

...which no one ever actually does, but whatever.

1) Write my fucking book.

2) Get my fucking radio show.

3) Take over the world. This may or may not be extended into 2011.

Instead, I'm going to try and do what I did last (this) year. Be myself. See what happens.
Actually... scrap that. Guess I do have a resolution. Be better than last year.

Studies show new year's resolutions cause more psychological harm than anything else, because we're only human and eventually break them and then crucify ourselves when we do. I don't make resolutions anymore and I really am happier about it.

That said, I'm hoping to get a real job soon and definitely am going to try to finish up my B.S. in Computer Science. So I'm going to try to do well in any and all things I end up doing (although if I only get one, I hope it's the school, as I have unfinished business here at home and any job I get will require me to relocate).

Legend has it that if you Kill Fifthfiend, Hexafiend will rise... and nobody wants that.

Over here we call them new year's promises. What happens when your resolution breaks? Big deal. But you don't want to break a promise, do ya?

I promise to spend more time with my friends, write more and draw more. More creative and more social. How is that going to work? By playing less videogames I guess.

I heard something about they've found autism related disorders messes with the motivator unit in your brain. It's hard to make decisions and motivate yourself into doing anything - pity we don't just get commanded by the voices of the gods like in the old days huh - and it's easy to waste whole days doing nothing important. Well, I say fuck wasting time, yo, and fuck taking it easy.

This is probably little bit too personal to share over here, but what the heck.

I can't promise this but I hope that I will get over the thought that I just bother people who I care about and actually start actively myself show "hey dude, wouldn't it be nice to hang out?" style of attitude. Because that would be the best thing to do. Damn brain chemistry.
