Mrs. Palin to work for Fox…
I searched and I scoured for that post I made few months back where I said that Sarah Palin’s carrier was locked in as a pundit for Fox News. Well today I’m here to announce that I sooooooo called it!

This will ruin her credibility as a legitimate candidate for any seat of government in the future if you ask me. Many folks are already sick enough of seeing her parade the Tea Party stupidity throughout countless carefully planned media appearances, or grandstanding at military bases to deride the POTUS and heap even more slander and mistruths about his policies vs. the welfare of the American people. To see it regularly on FNC will certainly reinforce her in the "party base" (which is rapidly dwindling due to the extremist right-wing beliefs of what the GOP is becoming) and consequently lower her chance of ever becoming an elected official anywhere again.
What once was called the Conservative Party is now just a bunch of shrill attention-seeking panderers and idiots, endlessly recycling the latest shrieking point (Arugula! Dijon! Bow! Socialism! SOCIALISMMMMMMMMM) and I pray that the reality of the republican party, the kind of party that actually stands for fiscal responsibility, smaller government, you know the sorts of things the people should really get behind, makes a comeback and even possibly becomes the mythical third party. This daily poutrage makes me fail to take anything they say seriously, and as they are pretty much literally the Party Who Cried Wolf, now any time they may actually get it right and make a Real Actual Point it can be instantly dismissed as "They are just whining again". There's serious junk going on in the government, on both sides of the aisle, but it is completely unhelpful when the major opposition party's PRIMARY TACTIC is to stick their fingers in their ears and go LA LA LA NO. It has made an absolute mockery of what our government should be.

Really that bolded part about her "continuing quest to dominate all forms of media" gave me a case of the giggles. I want to see a Palin-based animated power-hour cartoon now.

Oh man, has anyone heard about the book Game Change?
There's some scathing passages about nearly every viable American politician in there and I desperately want to read it. Of particular note: McCain aides in '08 were worried sick about Palin's mental instability. She apparently stopped eating and drinking before her debate with Biden and she was an utter nutcase. Not that we didn't already know that, but man...all these allegations in Game Change sound like a Washington D.C. episode of TMZ, and I couldn't be looking more forward to it.

Yeah, I saw a Google blurb about that book. Now I'm sorta looking forward to it as well.

Oh come one, you can't honestly say you're not looking forward to unlocking Palin as a secret character in the next Kingdom Hearts, or listening to her next big rap/country/rock/punk mix CD.

Really it leaves me to wonder what our political landscape would have looked like if McCain had glossed over Palin and picked.....well anybody else.
