WinXP Partitioning Utility?
Never fails. You think you're becoming good with a system; And then you run into something that makes you seem like a newbie.
After a few months of fiddling with a low-end linux box, I'm now trying to get it to dual boot on my main comp. But my hard drive has only one partition with Windows XP on it. I need to be able to split the partition so I can install the linux distro. After some googling, I know that an external program is needed in order to perform the repartitioning without erasing my WinXP setup. But, the searches did not provide a clear choice. Any recommendations? |

I've used both Partitition Magic and Partititon Manager to do exactly that wihou any problems. If you jus want to create and resize partiions any of the free programs scan do that.

Got it done. Thanks for the help.
After some poking around, I found Partition Magic (grr, officially discontinued) and helped me do what I needed. |
