Case Closed.....riiiiight.
In case you don't know, Case Closed is an anime that is on Adult Swim at around 11:30 PM (central time). It's about some teenage detective named Jimmy that was drugged, so he turned into a little kid. Now he lives with an adult detective and his daughter, who turned out to be a good friend of Jimmy before he became a kid again. Jimmy goes around following the detective, who's as smart as a door nail, and figures out mysteries. Most of them are pretty bloody.
It's a good show, but unless you're into mysteries, it's not for you. Not a whole lot of super action in it. But hey, it beats the shit out of Lain.

Too much awesome for such a small space. Oh well. You can still punch your mother...if you want... Fifth and Krylo made me do it. http://www.animecubed.com/billy/user...sigs/60266.jpg Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! |

I like it, but there isn't much continuity. And it annoyes me that all the bad guys don't put up a fight when they get caught. And Jimmy's/Conan's little friends annoy the heck out of me. But I like how it's kind of like Scooby Doo, but it isn't about retarded hippies and a dog that I'm pretty sure is a hallucination.

Better than Lain... ummmm nooooo. Lain is awesome because its one of the few animes shown in america that not only break the mold of anime ported to America, it shatters it. Still thats another thread.
Its okay if you like mysteries as said before the endings are kind of dumb. But hey at least it started to touch the border of whats acceptable on Cartoon network by featuring a transvestite (or was it just a crossdresser) in one episode. Edit:Why do they call it Cased Closed, in Japan its Detective Conan |

I'm guessing because Detective Conan would have certain obvious problems. Like the 'Conan' part and all. I'm sure it's not actually about a Schwarzenegger like barbarian who solves mysteries.

Hmmm yes, but still I always wondered why a bunch of animes have their names altered within the states.
Conan the Barbarian forget about that |

I've never actually seen Meitante Conan, but its pretty popular in Japan. You mentioned it was bloody, i really wouldn't have expected a lot of violence based on the pictures I've seen, but I guess that might be why its popular.

Meh, I've seen some episodes, but it never really caught my interest. I've stopped watching it now for the most part...
