...Ya know, I'm torn between thinking this is some sort of blatantly random mafianess designed to zebra people away from...something (voting for other mafia members? Is that too straightforward thinking?), or just blatant randomness from people who are new to the game...

As is, I'm now thinking that the mafia is made up of b_real, Mcspiff, chainsaw, phil_, and KBM. They seem to coordinate their posts and attack people for no reason while backing each other up. So FOS on the lot of you.

Right now I'm going to Vote: phil_, as he made the most blatant team-backup-manuever. I'd defend Mesden, but the mafia only has five members and I'm pretty sure that the 15 sane townies can see through their ruse.

Well, for starters, it was misterchainsaw who said what you bolded, not b_real.

Second, I chose to agree with b_real more for expedience. The quicker we decide who to off, the quicker we can start offing mafiosos, and the quickest way I saw was to agree with the only lynch vote at the time.

Adequate?

Okay, first off, ignore the paradox I encounter by defending myself here. Secondly, how have I defended myself? I FoS'd b_real, if anything. And tried to influence thinking and doublethinking, so that people see things from multiple angles and aren't misled so easily.

phil_, I can understand agreeing with the random vote. But there was no intuition whatsoever being used with b_real's vote. It was a random vote, (hopefully) which is better than no vote, but he didn't make a calculated decision. He pulled a name out of a hat and you said "It's genius!"

Also, people, please post soon. We don't want the mafiates to be able to hide in the woodwork while we debate.

Hardly. You're still voting for him even though other members are acting far scummier than some random choice, and the "get it over with now" attitude is just too scumesque-driven a mentality. Unvote him and actually contribute to the game and we'll talk.
