Overleveling on the river won't do squat in the end. You simply won't have enough magic or HP to take down the big stuff easily.

Though I do admit that until you've collected all the characters, usually the river leveling trick will carry you well.

Anyways. Here is my suggestions:

Team 1:
Eunuch (for his tools, chainsaw is still one of the best things you have right now)
Thou (for the Fang Bushido is incredibly powerful)
You (just for auto-attacks from his rage ability)
Bitch (for heals and support)

Team 2:
AHNULD (his phantom rush will destroy everything)
Hefner (his slot might not be perfect but it works)
Store (using the Atma Weapon she can dish out some extreme damage, just keep her health up)
Sarda (for heals, support. If you have it you can give him healing rod and just have him whack people to health)

I suggest these teams for your ease and no other reason. I know your magical talents aren't fully developed, so each team has multiple non-magic methods of destruction which are powerful and reliable.

1) We got You back ages ago. It wasn't a big event (it's a single encounter) so I didn't play it up much, but he's there.

2) The Lete River incident WAS designed around getting everyone to high levels, but nobody got the Esper bonuses for that period, nor did anyone learn magic. Which means that we're well-equipped for everything EXCEPT Fanatic's Tower... unless you count the general lack of healing/raising magic.

Really though, Bitch knows every magic I have access to other than Bahamut's stuff which I haven't checked, and the party that I was using to montage was mostly doing it for the AP anyway.

Just gonna say, Drill > Chainsaw, and (thanks for that tip Krylo) Noiseblaster >>>> Chainsaw.

The ease of use reasoning makes sense though honestly I tend to hold A and just turbo through random encounters. Boss fights are where I pay attention but really, Trance Firaga and Phantom Rush can deal with anything they throw at me, and EVERY character other than You has at least basic healing skills. And 99 Hi-Potions, if I remember correctly.

And as for inspirational/montage music, I'm partial to this. I know it's unorthodox, but whatever. So sue me.

Very, VERY sorry for missing the update. Twice. I HATE breaking promises... but the holidays were far more busy than I thought they'd be and I didn't have the time to sit down for an hour or two and do a new chapter. I'll try to do the next chapter as soon as I can, but I'm heading back to school tomorrow and I don't know what my schedule this term will be like. If it's anything like last term, I'll be able to settle into regular updates, but I have extra labs now....

Whatever happens, I'm sure that the first week will be fairly easy. I'll do my best to get the promised update deluge going and free up this spot for the next person to LP. Seems like a hotly contested position... Maybe I should auction it off on eBay!

I'll say pick up some Reflect rings and own the shit out of the Tower of Fanatics. And keep alternating between Team Frigid and Team Incandescent since they ~~hate~~ complement each other so well.

Ah hah, that makes sense. I mean, I knew the Lete River trip would stop being super useful eventually, but then I figured you'd just level up as normal, but without magic, it would be kind of hard to go up the tower, as that's usually one of the last places that I usually go in the game.

I say lets go.... get Ragnarok(the Esper!) from Narshe! And then from there lets see what's in those caves above Narshe. Certainly no Sasquatches, I'm sure.
