I don't mean to label everyone who disagrees with me as sheep, simply that the inability of folks 'round here to NOT make a post full of points that someone else has already made, with full knowledge that someone else has made them, seems a little silly, and indicative of an unfortunate mob mentality.

I'd rather that this were a turn-based game instead of a public stoning, is all I'm saying. Sheep probably wasn't the best word to use. Sorry, folks.

Anyhoo, I figure this thread's used up, regardless of my suspicions that Meister's post is simply an attempt to pacify me, rather than a sincere admission.

My opinion stands, unswayed.

You know, that is probably the MOST annoying thing that happens here. People taking it upon themselves to do the Mod's job, when they have no call. All they do is make newbies afraid to post. And new blood is good blood.
I am not saying that it is good to ignore the rules, but alot of the time those kids get to sounding like the annoying kid in class. "Umm..Teacher, Sally's chewing gum, which is a CLEAR violation of policy."

True 'nuff. I have come to understand why so many forums have a "no backseat modding" rule, but I still say it's nice if older members point newer members to the rules. Actually being nice doing so is what this concept hinges upon, though.
