Didn't Shiney actually make that a rule awhile back? Only one person informs someone about the rules if they make a mistake, and everyone else back off and shut up until it gets closed?

Also, you know, I've decided to actually start the warn/ban system for anyone who goes too far toward religious discussion, and, as that (as you pointed out) I'm pretty much the only mod who does much there my word is law.

So, pretty much in conclusion we've decided:

a) religious discussion in the disscusion thread is intolerable
b) if someone does break that rule, one person can correct the poster in a friendly and compassionate way
c) the mods are the mods and they do their job as they see fit

At least that's what I've gleaned from the thread. Anyone can correct me if they see fit. In a friendly and compassionate way:p

Usually I try to do something of the sort, but by the time I check a newbie's post, I see two or three non-mods explaining rules and welcoming them to the forums, then a mod going, "Well, shit. At least I still have the power to close topics."

But, back at hand.

DJ has some good points, but to be honest I'm perfectly content with having the threads about creation theories being quickly closed just to avoid a mess. It's cleaner when religion doesn't explode all over the topic, like a similie I'd rather not go into depth about.

Off topic again; Yeah, I knew Locke was in japan, I tried to PM him for when he got back, but his box was full. He's a busy guy, apparently. But, like I said, does anyone know where all the mods went? I can't help but worry/be confused.

The admin did something and I'd like to be the first to publicly congratulate FifthFiend on his new Super Moderator status!

Fairly good choice as he was proclaimed for knowing where the line is in discussion and the forum as a whole.
