Well, considering this was just supposed to be an announcement on how people should stop abusing rep, and also considering that discussing the merits of rep is useless because, well, it's not going anywhere, I think I'm just going to close this.

There's no point in posting here anymore, that I can see.

If another mod disagrees I give full permission to go over my head and open it back up.

I have enabled the ability for users to view who left them rep. Unsigned rep is a thing of the past.
