I'm not arguing that his deal with Vriska was a BIG THING, I'm arguing that the day as a whole had a LOT of things happening and he seems to be going "meh, it's no big deal.".

I don't think it's apathy. I think it's more like everyone is running around going "RELATIONSHIP THIS, SHIPPING THAT, BLUH BLUH" and John is a 14 year old nerdy kid who just wants to have some fun, why does everything have to revolve around romance? I see his point and it's actually refreshing for a character in one of the hugest ship fuel works ever.
Dude just wants to play some games, why does everything have to be about hooking up and making babbies.

I think I think it's the sound of all existing John ships, being increasingly submerged in water. It is a mournful sound. Like the kind Obi Wan would vaguely describe to an audience. In other news, Jade/Davesprite? Yes oh yes PLEASE Davesprite needs a real break.
