I guess this isn't surprising. Gamzee is most likely still in possession of Lil Cal, meaning that he's still acting under Lord English's influence. Destroying the kernelsprites and robbing the kids of any additional insight into the game that they could have possibly gained would be a sound strategy in maintaining the intended hopelessness of their endeavor.

It also means that Gamzee is still a very clear and present danger.

Except before when he was "acting under LE's influence" he was actually being guided by Doc Scratch and not whatever voices he pretends to hear from Lil Cal.

He was shown having a conversation with Doc Scratch, of which we only saw the end. There has been nothing that disproves that he wasn't hearing whispers from Cal, who we know is intrinsically connected to LE.

Unless you can provide a link to any evidence proving otherwise in case it was something I missed.

Well, we do have proof. Both Dave and Gamzee have mentioned instances where they believed Cal was talking to them. This is also a comic where, when someone claims to have heard voices, they always end up having totally heard voices.

So, in all likelihood, it's not just Gamzee pretending or being crazy. The puppet can actually talk.

But anyway, I've always been skeptical about Cal's supposed sentience and communing/whispering abilities.

Regardless, if Gamzee destroying Jane's sprite was the result of ulterior motives or something then I won't be surprised (since, afterall, this is Homestuck). Yet for now this just seems like Gamzee is thinking that playing matchmaker with corpses and sprites is a totally fucking great idea motherfucker. And really, it is. It is the best idea.
