Yeah, I think that what we know of trollreproduction is fairly accurate, and the Condesce tried a very, VERY poor method of getting humans to conform to the troll method.

Best piece of evidence that the troll reproduction we know of at least has natural origins is the Lusus bond. We now know that humans can't form it, which means it's obviously not a product of the Condesce's thinking, since she would just do it again if she could. Overall, she seems way too incompetant at manipulating evolution for the Troll method of reproduction to have anything but natural origins. We also know that at least some of the Lusus Naturae are dependant on forming the Lusus bond, since Vriska's spidermom needed her to bring it food (this was made clear in the story of how Vriska found Mindfang's book).

Anyway, I'm betting she gets overthrown by one version of WV or another.

Edit: Noteworthy that it would be a simple matter for the Condesce to just let her Lusus die. Then she could clone the trolls all she wanted; they just wouldn't be bound to her rule. That she doesn't do this is a pretty clear indicator of exactly how many fucks she ever gave about her species.

Not that this is particularly surprising. Just a nice little bit of character development.
