Oh, he could have just tapped him on his back, but you just know he found it way too much fun to let him put up with LH. It was the schadenfreude-based equivalent of pointless rocketboard tricks. No point to it, but way too much fun not to do.

The only thing that's awful about Dirk kicking so much ass is how terrible he makes Roxy, Jake and Jane look by comparison.
The Dave / John / Rose / Jade foursome had more narrative weight because their badass moments were spread amongst themselves rather evenly. Here, Dirk just hogs all the glory and takes all the credit.

I must be the only person who dislikes Dirk. Two flashes that accentuate his shiny image of perfect genius, skills, and just how infinitely superior he and his AI persona are to the other kids.
It was a neat flash, mind. I'm just getting the same vibes as I did back with Prince of Heart: Rise up. EDIT: I should stop leaving the post message window open for half an hour before actually posting.
