Clubs is explicitly a complement to blackrom relationships, and its entire purpose is to make sure the blackrom doesn't go so far as to either result in one troll's death, or ruin the functionality of the trolls' other respective relationships. "Breaking up" isn't part of it.

Probably just a misunderstanding on Karkat's part, or Hussie done goofed.

Just because Karkat never knows how to deal with anything doesn't mean he can't properly identify which quadrant is which. In fact, that's something he's really good at.

Well, Kanaya, when discussing things with Rose, mentions that it can be directed at a Caliginous relationship where the parties would normally be perfect for each other in that quadrant, "But To Pursue The Relationship Would Be Chaos"

Like, it seems to suggest that the duties of an auspitice can range from keeping a pair of Kismeses from killing each other, to sabotaging a relationship wholesale when it just isn't going to work, due to being toxic, or causing infidelities, or what have you.

Karkat's probably just using "auspiticize" to mean "cockblock for the greater good" without really thinking about quadrants. Because it wouldn't really make a difference whether he's freeing up Kanaya's time by breaking up a red or a black relationship.

The whole point of that little rant Karkat had is that Karkat is making up big complicated unnecessary plans that don't fit to make up for blame that doesn't exist, anyway. This is the same dude who wanted to have a vacillation three-way. At this point he's just throwing words around so he can have an excuse to call himself stupid.

Because the whole point of that rant is that Karkat is being ridiculous and overcomplicated? That's like the driving concept behind his words. He's not thinking rationally, he's just looking for an excuse to call himself a failure at troll romance.

I mean, it's not like Kanaya can be in two auspiticisms at the same time, can she? Quadrant monogamy and all that. And yet that concept completely slips Karkat by because, again, he's just looking for a reason to go "I SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THIS SOONER I'M SO STUPID AND DUMB".
