Hey, here's something to discuss.

I remember Karkat saying that both Dave and John died in alternate timelines due to interacting with Vriska and Terezi. Now, we all know what happened to John (though the why is still sorta blurry). But Dave? Let's get some wild speculation going on here! How would Vriska have killed Dave?

oh man I wrote a whole thing on that very subject in one of the MSPA forum's threads
like i was typing out some sort of essay or something
i was all:

Let's look at some things we already know:

*Trolls can only see the alpha timeline.
*Karkat claims that each Scourge Sister will or already has killed one of the Chum Brothers.
*Terezi already killed John; trolls only know about this from Davesprite, the only fragment of the split timeline to come back and influence the alpha timeline (besides Rose's dreamself, which could not do so without Dave's time travel).
*Karkat knows about this while believing that Vriska/John flirtations may bring about postRift makeouts
*If Vriska's deaththreat to John is at all relevant to this situation, it must therefore happen after the event (and perhaps its consequences) are known to the trolls.
*It is possible to 'kill' Dave without splitting the alpha timeline by murdering one of his timeclones, as DD did when stealing the MEOW code.
*With Terezi helping him out by being able to smell his entire timeline, you can now only kill Dave's timeclone if Dave messes up his timeloops.
*Vriska has been shown to be able to manipul8 people in the kids' session.
*While Dave is shown to be extremely chill, he has been shown to possess some self-esteem issues which may or may not cause him to be 'impressiona8le'.

If Vriska kills Dave, it has to follow a few rules:

*Has to be in a way that can be shown in the alpha timeline
*Must be due to an indirect influence on Vriska's part since they are separated by dimensions
*If we assume that the deaththreat is relevant, it has to be in a way that will let the trolls know about it before John can reprimand Vriska by any length of time
*Must result in the safety of both alpha Chum Brothers.

Theory TL/DR: Knowing the above, Vriska is going to somehow manipul8 Dave into messing up one of the time loops, causing the death of a timeclone.

Possibly Karkat was just referencing the Dave who came back from the John Dies timeline and became Davesprite, as he was doomed and ultimately will meet the fate of... whatever happens to kernelsprites.
