Oh, I can't forgive her for anything she's done. In fact, I was extremely angry with her when Alterniabound made it clear that she learned nothing from being killed in revenge.

But weird crap keeps happening that makes it impractical for me to hate her full blast 24/7. Which is of course followed by her making me hate her again just about each and every time. For example, here I kind of have to grudgingly admit that her view of the whole predestination thing is refreshingly not defeatist.

And I admit that I'm intrigued as to how she expects to be able to kill Beck Noir.

She's still the most evil person in this entire freaking story, next to, say Jack and some other guys, but I'm being forced to admit that it's just not practical for me to hate her as much as I want to.

At least not all the time.

I'm not really sure how horrible her actions in and of themselves are, really. I mean, yeah, it was a callous, asshole thing to do, but she has a point about the whole 'doomed timeline' thing.

I mean, did she really have much of a choice? She knew what her actions were going to be. She could have rejected that, but only to create a time paradox and/or doomed timeline. She's a terrible person, but if John had been in her place, how would he have acted?

Also, am I the only one who's noticed this:

What's the point of being angry with a scorpion for killing? They can't help it.

Actually I think Vriska's tragedy is that she can't resist hurting people she gets close to. It would make her shunned and feared, at which point trying to make herself the biggest hero of the world (or the biggest hero of the world's sponsor) becomes her only defense against loneliness.

The impression I got was that she had no idea that she was responsible for those things when she was first scrolling through the timeline.

She only just now decided to make them happen because of her.
