I'm still holding tentatively onto the belief that this grandson is still Grampa Harley. Jade said that talking to the kid was "like talking to family," which is an obscure enough statement to make me suspicious. And, going by the terms of ectobiology standards, would it really be so weird for your grandfather/father to also be your grandson?
I mean the only way this would really make sense is if somehow John were considered the grandaddy of all the babies through his stuff, and because of his relation to Jade I guess she'd be the nanna, with whoever raised each of them fulfilling the role of parent. Just writing this out makes me realize further how unlikely and poorly-explained an idea this is but I'm still unsure.
