The thing about that is because he knew because the narrator "told" him so it wasn't 100% confirmation of him having ever had contact with her or if it's just the narrator imparting information

But yeah this is possibly more definite confirmation of that fact

As opposed to what some people are saying about her somehow being able to manipulate his dreams on earth somehow??? Which I guess isn't impossible but how would she even know about him in the first place.

More than likely she was able to manipulate him on Skaia, much like she did with the Courtyard Droll, making him aware of her, though probably not really understanding who or what she was in any degree of complexity.

Her invading his mind when he first found the ring could very well be the reasons he's been so against putting it on ever since.

the thing is I can't really imagine a scenario in which she'd want to manipulate WV and not make him walk over and just hand over the ring to her or John since she's so intent on him not wearing it himself

Same reason she wanted Tavros to kill her but didn't make him do it? Maybe she wants him to grow as a player or something.

Hell, I don't even know. At this point the only reason Vriska does anything is because

In any case, there'd be no reason in making WV hand the ring over to her or John since neither of them can use it and all the other Dersites and Prospitians are dead or exiled.

I don't know if you're going to go as far as to mindrape someone just because you don't want him to put on a ring you might as well just take the ring away from him, you know?

Anyway mostly I am taking these events as confirmation that 1) WV will see the trolls before he gets exiled 2) Vriska will wear her god tier outfit again in the story aww yeaah

Also because she knows that she can't actually alter the passage of events in the kids' timeline, and she knows WV gets the ring, so all she could do was be a pain in the ass, invade WV's mind, tell him not to use it, and then act all smug about being responsible for something she already knew was going to happen.

Also I've been working under the assumption that WV gets exiled after the Rift meaning that Vriska can meet him in person and also not know anything about predestination stuff. And if Vriska can meet him in person then couldn't she just take the ring from him by force?

It's possible that she's doing the long distance mind control thing I mean there's no real reason why that wouldn't be the case but I dunno something just seems off about that.

Not even to destroy it, because Jack doesn't have the second ring when he enters.

Hell, you don't even know that Jack and WV meet in the Trolls' session. It could very well happen on Alternia.
